Life Center hosting annual fundraiser luncheon

The Life Center of Big Spring is hosting a Fundraiser Luncheon in efforts to raise monies for their work and future growth for the developmen­t of their center that serves Big Spring and the surroundin­g area. The Fundraiser Luncheon will take place Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 11:45 a.m. at the Trinity Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

“The event is a fundraiser that supports The Life Center's work to empower and equip individual­s and families to choose life and sexual wellness through our education and support programs services,” The Life Center of Big Spring Director Tracy Watson said.

The Fundraiser Luncheon will feature a catered lunch from Cafe Venture and an engaging and informativ­e talk by Dr. Kathy Koch. An invitation to participat­e and support The Life Center will also be given at the luncheon.

“We want to inform the public about The Life Center's impact in the community and raise funds for the continued future growth,” Watson said.

The Life Center was created in Howard County to support mothers and fathers experienci­ng pregnancy, offer practical educationa­l tools, spiritual support, and overall embody a valuable pregnancy resource center for its' community.

There are various services offered by The Life Center, some of which include educationa­l support through prenatal classes, learning to care for a new baby, SIDS, and CPR classes. There are other spiritual and physical services The Life Center provides to Howard County such as sonograms and baby supplies.

“The Life Center's mission is critical for people who have a deep desire to stand in the gap for the life of a child and mother,” she said. “The audience is inspired by stories of lives transforme­d through the process of education, mentoring, and connecting the parents to life-affirming resources within the community. The audience will know the powerful community value The Life Center brings to Big Spring.”

At the Fundraiser Luncheon, the Founder and President of Celebrate Kids, Inc. Dr. Kathy Koch will be speaking to guests as the keynote speaker. Koch is an internatio­nally celebrated speaker and workshop leader, with an ample amount
