Coahoma ISD Trustees to consider cancelling May Trustee Election
The Coahoma ISD Board of Trustees is set to meet Thursday at 6 p.m. for the monthly meeting. The meeting will take place in the Elementary Board Room, located at 400 Ramsey Street in Coahoma.
Once roll is called and an establishment of a quorum has been made, the opening ceremony will take place the meeting will be called to order. To begin the meeting there will be time allotted for anyone wishing to address the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees will move into the Consent Agenda at the end of the open forum. Approval of minutes of previous meetings, budget amendments and TEKS certifications will possibly be approved.
A main item on the agenda will include the consideration and possible approval of an order cancelling the May 1, 2021 School Board Trustee Election.
Consideration for a stipend addition for the school year 2020-2021 will possibly be approved before the Board hears information updates regarding financial reports and principal reports. The current enrollment numbers along with ADA and WADA reports will also be brought before the Trustees during the meeting.
As part of the Superintendent Report, Brad Cox, will provide information on the upcoming Summer Leadership Institute for 2021 and upcoming board meeting dates. An overview will also be provided regarding Covid-19 updates.
Personnel resignations and staff employment will be discussed with needed action to be taken by the Trustees, if any. There is time allotted for an executive session for the trustees to discuss personnel matters. Before the meeting adjourns the board will look at consideration and possible action to offer employment contracts as recommended for the 2021-2022 school year.
