The Coahoma Bulldogettes came away with two impressive victories over this past weekend, March 19 and March 20. The First game was against the Sonora Bronchos, a game in which Coahoma would win handily with a 17 to 1 victory. The Bulldogetted then followed that up on Saturday with another dominant victory over Sweetwater 12 to 2.

In the first game of the weekend, the Bulldogettes faced off against the Sonora Bronchos. The Bulldogettes wasted little time getting to work in this game as they would put up six runs in the first inning. The girls attacked the Bronchos pitcher early and often to jump on her and take advantage of a few mistakes. Sonora did manage to push a run across the plate in their half of the first inning, bringing the score to 6 to 1 after one inning.

Coahoma would keep the pressure on with more timely hitting scoring another four runs in the top of the second inning bring the score to 10 to 1. The Bulldogettes would not let up both offensively and pitching, completely dominating this game from every aspect. MaKynlee Overton was dominant on the mound all game long, only allowing 3 hits and one run while striking out 11 Bronchos on her day of work.

The Bulldogettes would put up seven more runs throughout the day to earn a decisive victory over the Sonora Bulldogs 17 to 1.

The second game was played on Saturday, and this time the Bulldogettes took on Sweetwater. Just like the first game, it was easy sailing for the young Softball team from Coahoma.

This game started a little slower than game one did; Coahoma stilled scored two tins in the very first inning, then was answered back by Sweetwater, tying the game up at 2 to 2 after one inning.

This would be as close as Sweetwater ever got to the Bulldogettes because they then scored eight runs in the second inning. Madison Rodgers hit a Homerun in the inning. MaKynlee Overton, Kenzi Canales, Shae Lang, Alexcia Munoz, and Christian Everett all had big RBI's in the inning to contribute to the scoring.

Makayla Calvio pitched an excellent game as the hurler went five innings, allowing two runs on just four hits. She was in complete control of the game from the start.

The wins bring the Bulldogettes record to 10-5 on the season. This team is starting to get hot at just the right time. Look for big things to come from this softball team.
