Big Spring Board of Trustees to discuss artificial turf at Memorial Stadium Appraisal and state comptroller values on agenda
The Big Spring Independent School District will consider property valuations during their regular meeting Thursday evening.
The board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the BSISD Board Room located at Big Spring High school, 707 E. 11th Place. The meeting is open to the community and there will be an opportunity for community members to address the Trustees at the beginning of the meeting.
During the meeting, the board will discuss the district's Howard County Appraisal District and state comptroller values.
In other business, the board will hear and discuss a presentation on artificial turf at Memorial Stadium.
After hearing a report on board member continuing education credits for the 2020-21 school year and approving past board meeting minutes and financial reports, the board will address several action items.
Items on the agenda for board consideration include:
• A resolution extending the district's current depository bank contract;
• An agreement for audit services;
• A donation from Hillcrest Child Development Center;
• Adoption of instructional materials;
• Employment recommendations;
•Professional development recommendations for 2021-22;
• Personnel issues, including employment, reassignment, duties, performance problems and evaluations.
