Coahoma Junior High teams kick off successful season

MIDLAND — The Coahoma Junior High School girls team had an outstanding day at their first competition of the season placing 8th out of a field of 24 teams at the Tall City Meet on Saturday.
Andrea Rochelle medaled in the 3200m race. She finished 14th with a time of 15:15. Raelyn Quintero was 25th with a time of 16:03. Madison Bose was the 54th runner to cross the line and completed the race in 17:28.
Andrea Arrendondo placed 60th and Lillian Orosco was 84 with times of 17:43, and 19:45 respectively. Tayla Rivera placed 101th (22:40), Claire Wegner was 104th

(23:33); Cassandra Guerrero finished in 109th place (24:32).
Eddie Gallarado led the boys team in the 3200m run. He finished 48th out of a large field of middle school runners with a time of 15:01. Eason Sullivan placed 101st and finished at a time of 17:34, and Treyce Vadney ran the route in 21:13. Vadney crossed the finish line in 132nd place.
Next: The Coahoma Junior High Cross Country will compete in the Crane Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 4.
