The Coahoma Bulldogs took on the Colorado City Wolves this past Friday night for their homecoming game. The Bulldogs came into this game with a 2-1 record, while the Wolves came in a 0-3. Colorado City wolves are amid an epic losing streak as they have lost 25 straight games. On Nov. 9 of 2018, their last win was when they beat the Stanton Bulldogs 48-7. Even though this should have been an obvious victory for the Bulldogs, they nevertheless knew that the Wolves would show up in this game playing strong and searching for the upset. The Bulldogs were coming off a loss to one of the stronger teams they have played so far this season as they lost to Eldorado 56-29. However, after an excellent week of practice, the Bulldogs were ready to put on a show for the homecoming crowd.

The crowd was all set for some football, and with the Coahoma Bulldogs driving down the field. The ball was at the Colorado City 38- yard line when the game was suspended for lightning just two minutes into the game. There would be what ended up with a three-hour delay before the game started back up. So at 10:35 P.M., both teams took the field and started right where they left off. The Bulldogs marched the ball down the field, and then it was the great RB Brysen Kerby who broke through on a sevenyard run, making this a 7 to 0 early advantage for the Bulldogs with 7:56 left in the first. Wolves would not go away softly, they would work the ball down the field and have a pleasant drive of their own. The Wolves scored from seven yards out on a nice run of their own. They missed the extra point, so the score after one-quarter of play was 7 to 6 in favor of Coahoma.

Colorado City jumped in front of the Bulldogs early in the second quarter to score from four yards out on the run. But, once again, they missed the extra point, and the score was now 7-12 for the Wolves. With 11:55 left in the first half of play, the Bulldogs knew they could not let Colorado City have the momentum. They would answer right back when Arian Emerson revived the ensuing kickoff and took it to the house for an amazing 76-yard kickoff return for a TD. After the exciting run, the Bulldogs went for the two-point conversion and came up short, but they had taken the lead back 13 to 12 with 11:41 left in the first half of play. Both teams seemed to settle in on the defensive side of the ball after the kickoff return, and neither team would put up any further points in the first half. Meaning the Bulldogs had a slim one-point lead into halftime.

As the second half began into the wee hours of the night, Coahoma took command of this game. They got their running game working, and then it
