Wilella Hanks Tucker was born Jan. 1, 1937, and left to be in heaven Oct. 2, 2021. She attended Ackerly High School and Howard College. Wilella married E. T. “Sonny” Tucker Jan. 7, 1957 in Lovington, New Mexico. They lived all over Texas until they retired in Vealmoor, Texas. Sonny preceded her in death Oct. 27, 2003.

Wilella was very creative. She loved art and music and especially anything about country living. She was always ready to go fishing! “Nana” loved her kids and grandkids, but especially lit up when the great-grandkids came to visit.

Wilella is survived by two daughters; Kevva Anderson and husband, John, of the Muleshoe Ranch, and Deidre Smith and husband, Monte, of O’Donnell, Texas; eight grandchild­ren: Clay John Anderson and wife, Krista, and daughters, Layton and Harper; Whitney Fuston and husband, Kye, and daughter, Lyla and son, Krace; Bailey Halverson and husband, Jake; Rachelle Ybarra and husband, Chris, and sons, Aiden and Maddox; Sean

Tucker and wife, Kelbie, and son, Evan; Reagan Edwards and husband, Cody, and daughter, Emerson; Lindsey Schmit and husband, Kyle, and daughters Kambell, Addison and Berkley; and Riley Smith and wife, Macie, and daughter, Sutton; one sister, Glenodene Williams; two nieces, Sheryl Gass and husband, Jackie, and Debra Lusk and husband, Joe; and a nephew, Geary Williams; and a multitude of great and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Porter and Maurine Hanks; her husband, E. T. “Sonny” Tucker; her son, Darin Tucker; a brother-in-law, Dwain Williams; and a great-granddaugh­ter, Hope Jewel Anderson.

Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Kenny Stewart officiatin­g.
