- Special to the Herald

7th Grade A: After battling back in the second set, the 7th Grade A Team lost to San Angelo Lincoln (10-25 and 21-25). Chloeigh Moore stepped up to the service line and forced Lincoln into many turnovers at critical times. Malori Lara, Jade Valenzuela, and Mariah Aguilar played well and were leaders on the court by communicating and hustling throughout the game. 7th Grade B: The 7th Grade B Team started off the game with San Angelo Lincoln a little sleepy, but then woke up to battle coming back from a score of 1-12. However, the Lady Steer Team lost in two sets (16-25 and 19-25). Players of the game were Alina Pesina, Reyna Escovedo, Kayleigh Daniel, and Jojo Gonzalez with clutch serves between the two sets. Jojo Gonzalez and Alina Pesina were also great leaders on the court throughout the entire game. The girls are continuing to work on their movement on the court and calling the ball. We look forward to some redemption with our next home game next Thursday.
