Coahoma girls go 2-0 in district with win over Crane
CRANE — An explosive first quarter helped the Bulldogettes secure their second win in District 5-3A play on Friday.
Multiply Bulldogettes rained threes against the
Crane Lady Birds to build a 22-point lead by the end of the opening quarter. Isabella Cox and Katelyn Johnson buried a pair of shots from behind the arc and Shae Lang and Madison Rodgers added two more. The Bulldogettes continued to score in the double digits in the next two periods of play.
Cox had a game high of 17 points including three 3-point goals. She also went four-of-seven at the free throw line. Lang and Johnson added 16 and eight points more respectively.
Next, the Bulldogettes (2-0, 14-9) will host the Stanton Lady Buffs on Tuesday. Both teams will come into the match undefeated in league play. The varsity game will begin at 6 p.m. in the CES competition gym, and the JV
