Praying to Pentecost

“God does nothing but by prayer, and everything with it.”~ John Wesley

We have been praying with half a million Nazarenes throughout the Nation since May 1. We are seeking a fresh outpouring of the Spirit, renewal in the church, and revival across the land. We will end our prayer emphasis this Sunday with a special Pentecost Service.

MidWeek

We will have a worship and prayer focused service this Wednesday @ 6:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss this powerful time in God’s presence together. The following Wednesday, June 8th, we will not have a MidWeek Service due to Family Camp.

Food + Fellowship + Faith Building = Men’s Breakfast! If you’re looking for the best breakfast in Big Spring then you won’t want to miss our next Men’s Prayer Breakfast on June 4 @ 8 a.m. Invite some guys and come join us!

Father’s Day

Father’s Day is coming soon. We will be honoring all of our dads on Sunday, June 19, as we worship our Heavenly Father together. There will be a gift for each dad along with some special prizes. Invite the fathers you know to come and worship with us.

Cross will be preaching a sermon entitled: Led by the Disruptive Spirit Scripture readings for this Sunday are: Psalm 104:24-34 & 35b; Acts 2:1-21; Romans 8:14-17.

The scriptures and the service this Sunday are all about the arrival of the Holy Spirit of God into that famous gathering of Christ’s disciples in Jerusalem. Jesus promised it. Paul connected it with our relationship with Jesus. We will celebrate the Spirit this Sunday. There will be ice cream following worship.

Sunday School begins at 9:45. Rev. Cross teaches the Children’s Class. Tom Koger leads the Youth Class. The Discovery Class has is doing a five-week DVD study by Max Lucado on the story of Esther. The study is titled: You Were Made For This Moment.

Sunday morning Take Ten fellowship is in the parlor between Sunday School and worship.

Two Wednesday events are on summer hiatus. The Women’s Bible Study and the Greatest Places video series will resume August 3. The video series that will begin then will be about the history of the American West.
