Roof projects on BSISD board agenda Thursday

At its meeting Thursday evening, The Big Spring ISD Board of Trustees will consider roof repairs at several district locations, including Big Spring High School.

The board will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the High School Board Room, 707 E. 11th Place.

According to the meeting's agenda, the board will consider approval of an agreement with Roofs Inc. of Lubbock for roofing repairs at Big Spring High School. The board will also consider approval of an agreement with Alto Vista Roofing Inc. for roofing repairs and replacements “...at various district facilities...”.

Following consideration of approval of the contracts, the board will consider approval of a budget amendment and

“...expenditure over $150,000...” for the roofing projects.

Following the meeting's prayer and pledges of allegiance, members of the public will have the opportunity to address the board on items of concern.

Next, the board will hold a workshop on the district's budget for 2022-23.

The meeting's Consent Agenda indicates the board will consider approval of minutes from its May 12 regular meeting and May 17 special meeting; as well as of financial reports.

The items regarding the roofing projects appear next on the agenda during the Action Items section of the meeting.

Following approval of funding for the roof project, the trustees will consider approval of another expenditure over $150,000 for its planned door repair and replacement project.
