Shirley Froman

Shirley Froman, 83, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023 at SMMC. Visitation will be 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

Shirley was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Big Spring to Tessie and Jimmy Harper. She married Sam Froman Dec. 18, 1954, they were married until he passed away Feb. 18, 2008. She was lifetime resident of Big Spring and an active and longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Shirley was a longtime employee of First National Bank and later IUOE 826 until retiring. She enjoyed volunteering at SMMC. She and Sam loved Lake Thomas and fishing. She loved game shows, westerns, bingo and card games, especially with The Gamesters at Trinity.

Shirley is survived by: 2 sons, Ken Froman (Joyce) of San Angelo and Gene Froman (Robbie) of Big Spring; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Row (Brad) of Colo., Michelle Wright (Grant) of Midland, Jacob Froman of Big Spring, Katherine Sullivan (Jacob) of La., Michael Froman of North Dakota, Katie Peppard (Reece) of Lubbock, Randi Darrow (Billy) of Big Spring, Ty Froman (Esther) of Big Spring, Collin Froman of Big Spring and Walker Froman of Big Spring; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 brother, Jimmy Harper (Gaynell) of Houston.

In addition to her parents and husband, Shirley was preceded in death by: 1 daughter, Tanya Froman.

Pallbearers will be: Jacob Froman, Michael Froman, Ty Froman, Collin Froman, Walker Froman and Jackson Row.
