I hadn’t taken photos of birds

for six years until the day these beautiful western tanagers showed up in my backyard. Their colorful plumage was so amazing, I just had to dig out my camera. I now have an updated DSLR camera and my wife tells people that I’ve become obsessed with taking photos of birds. She’s not wrong— I haven’t missed many days of bird photography since those tanagers.
