BLACK- NECKED STILTS

During the breeding season (late April through August), blacknecked stilts exhibit posturing behavior to help find their mates. Both the male (right) and the female build the nest. Once their eggs hatch, a family of black-necked stilts remains a unit even after the young can fly.
