FGCU president Dr. Wilson Bradshaw is all about the blue and green, green as in environmentally. He drives a Chevy Volt donated by Estero Bay Chevrolet, whose owners were impressed with the school’s projects to conserve resources and to recycle. A new Volt costs about $33,000, runs up to 53 miles on a single charge, more than 400 miles with a full charge and a tank of gas. On battery alone, it costs $2 per day to operate.
