Mary Rachel Savage, age 90, of Bryan, Texas, passed away peacefully, Sunday, June 12, 2022.

Rachel grew up in Memphis, Texas with her parents and two sisters. After graduating high school she moved to Pampa, Texas, where she met her loving husband, Jimmie E.

Savage. They were married on August 16, 1952, and moved to Borger, Texas, where they resided for over 50 years together they raised two children, Mary Deiss (College Station) and Patty Hill (San Diego).

Rachel was a loving wife, mother, grandmothe­r, greatgrand­mother, and cherished friend to so many. Being around her family and friends was her greatest treasure in life. She worked at Four R Industrial Supply for years before she joined her husband in retirement to enjoy their next journey in life. Rachel easily made friends no matter where she went and was considered by all as full of compassion, love, and graciousne­ss throughout her life as she was always willing to help and be there for others. Rachel played in a bridge club for years, and on weekends she and Jimmie loved getting together with family friends to play cards, and dominoes, boating at the lake, and always looking forward to their family summer vacations to visit family and life-long friends. Rachel's hobbies included sewing, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles, and the gambling trips with Jimmie.

Rachel is survived by her daughters, Mary and Patty, sister Genevieve, grandchild­ren Jeremy Wright, Scott Deiss, Shayna Hill, Abbey Deiss Roberson, Jill Deiss Zieger, and Alana Ethridge, and 9 greatgrand­children.

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Estelle McCool, her loving husband Jimmie Savage, and sister, Anita.
