William Harry “Bill” Seago

William Harry "Bill" Seago passed on Monday, February 27, 2023, in Borger.

He was born March 3, 1931 at Shamrock, Texas to Cecil F. and Helen Mae (Barnes) Seago. In 1951, JoAn Bell and Bill Seago were married in Hollis, Oklahoma.

During his working years, he was a Materials Handling Analyst for the Carbon Division of J.M. Huber. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and of the Borger Elks Lodge. He and his buddies , of the morning Coffee Crew , at Borger Bank, enjoyed their morning routine. For many years, Bill and JoAn were members of the Fantasia Dance Club. When Mrs. Seago speaks of this time dancing together, her eyes light up and a smile comes on her face. Bill so much enjoyed dancing and fishing and hunting. His yard always looked so pretty and well kept. He was a member of the Hutchinson County Sheriff's Posse and was in the Texas National Guard for 10 years. He spent many weekends at various lakes with family and friends making his "camper's special" breakfast and teaching many of them to water ski and how to just have a plain ol' good time.

Preceding him in death were their 2 sons: Larry Ray Seago and William "Bill" Glynn Seago; a sister, Carolyn Pigg; a brother, Cecil Seago and a grandchild, Gabriel Baker.

Left behind to cherish his memory is his loving wife, JoAn; a daughter, Suzette Baker of Borger, 7 grandchild­ren: Shannon Lester and husband Jerry, Jeremy Seago, Rachelle Romines and husband Brandon, Amanda Williams and husband John, Robin Armstrong and husband Keith, Samantha Clarke and Jessica Philips and husband Hunter; 8 great grandchild­ren and numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains, 206 W. 1st Street, Borger. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Borger.

Mr. Seago will lie in state Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm at Brown Funeral Directors.

In lieu of flowers, his memory may be honored with a gift to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, 600 SW 11th Ave., Amarillo, Texas, 79101 or to the Borger Elks Lodge, PO Box 1577, Borger, Texas 79008-1577.

Services are entrusted to Brown Funeral Directors, Borger.
