Indulge in insider Boston with the city’s best arts, dining, and nightlife.

Good God! The Godfrey Hotel has it all! The newest kid on the Downtown Crossing block now boasts an eatery from the coolest kids in town—partners Chris Jamison and Mark Malatesta with culinary director and chef Tom Berry, the crew behind Yvonne’s and Lolita. The squad’s latest venture, Ruka, serves up a Peruvian menu that is the city’s first to incorporate nikkei and chifa cuisines—that is, respectively, the food of Peru’s Japanese and Chinese diasporas. There’s electro-colored green noodles, glistening leche de tigre garlic butter, and more, all accented with the trio’s eye for design—in this case, bold murals, suspended ropes, and an evident spirit for living. 505 Washington St., 617-8042000; rukarestobar.com
