Masses rise up across pond – now get ready for Hillexit

-

Brexit is the canary in the coal mine for the presidential elections here.

And the elites on both sides of the Atlantic know it. If the masses can rise up over there, they can storm the Bastille here, too. As distraught as the Masters of the Universe are over Brexit, what they’re even more panicked about is the possibility of a Hillexit, and an Obexit.

Donald Trump is our living, breathing Brexit — with a Queens accent.

You could hear the fear and the disgust in the well-modulated, moneyed Oxbridge and Ivy League tones of the Beautiful People yesterday. On NPR and the BBC, they were blaming the vote on everything but hanging chads. Surely George W. Bush must be involved! Grief counselors were thick on the ground, confiscating belts and shoe laces.

On Fox, Tony Blair looked like someone had just run over his new puppy. How dare these 17 million Benny Hill types reject the instructions of their betters — Sir Richard Branson, Stephen Hawking, J.K. Rowling and everybody else who is anybody.

Of course, on the Leave side was Roger Daltrey of The Who. “Won’t Get Fooled Again” — an appropriate-enough anthem for the great unwashed.

Before the start of the torrential downpours (another excuse the ruling classes were blaming the disaster on), the polls were close, close enough for the election to be stolen by the elites, or so I assumed.

But the final tally was 52-48 percent, which tells you two things. No. 1, the margin was too great to stuff the ballot boxes, and No. 2, apparently a lot of the voters weren’t telling the truth to the pollsters. Sound familiar?

Now the Brits are about to get their own Donald Trump as prime minister — Boris Johnson, the former mayor of London. He has the same crazy mop of blond hair as Trump, and his rhetoric is even wilder.

On his campaign swing through the U.K. last April, Obama said a vote for Brexit would put Brits “at the back of the queue.”

Nobody cared, because the native Brits are already at the back of the bus, just like the working classes here, beset by falling wages, plummeting life expectancies and higher taxes that force them to work like coal-mine ponies to support the protected classes in the style to which they have become so accustomed since the elites began to import them by the millions from their native Third World hellholes.

These clueless toffs like David Cameron have been destroying the U.K., just like Obama, the Clintons and all the rest have been doing with their “fundamental transformation” of our own country. They are determined to make us second-class citizens in our own lands — look at the Supreme Court ruling on affirmative action, just to cite the latest example.

Here the Democrats can’t even bring themselves to call out the savage Muslim terrorists who want to murder us all. Their only plan in the face of the foreign Islamic threat is to strip their fellow citizens of their Second Amendment rights to defend themselves.

Yet still they wonder why Brexit and Trump are winning.

What time is the candlelight vigil tonight on the Cambridge Common?
