THREE THINGS TO WATCH

1. Quarterback Andrew Ford and tight end Adam Breneman were high school teammates, but the UMass field general doesn't play favorites. He has thrown seven touchdowns to five different receivers so expect him to spread the field and employ all his weapons. 2. UMass coach Mark Whipple needs to re-emphasize ball security to his running backs and pass catchers. The Green Wave is fourth nationally in recovered fumbles (6), fourth in turnover margin (1.75) and ninth in turnovers gained (10). 3. The UMass defensive front seven will be facing a triple-option ground attack for the first time this season. The Green Wave has rushed for 953 yards in four games led by junior tailback Dontrell Hilliard and read-option quarterback Glenn Cuiellette.
