Farrell ruled out Wright from pitching in the first round of the playoffs. Dealing with shoulder bursitis since he got hurt running the bases in early August, Wright threw a bullpen session at about 70 percent effort yesterday and needs at least two more bullpens before the Sox will test him against hitters. . . .
