Mack triggers comeback for Maine

Josh Mack ran for three second-half touchdowns and Maine came from 21 points down to beat Bryant, 35-31, yesterday in Orono, Maine.

Mack had 151 yards on 21 carries with scoring runs of 2, 25 and 9 yards.

Dan Collins threw for 180 yards passing with two touchdowns for the Black Bears (1-3).

Dalton Easton was 27-of-53 passing for 318 yards and four touchdowns, including three to Matt Sewall, to lead Bryant (2-3).

Holy Cross 38, Lafayette 28 — Sophomore Geoff Wade completed 21-of-27 passes for 238 yards and three touchdowns in his first start while replacing the injured Peter Pujals (ankle) as the Crusaders rallied past the Leopards in a Patriot League clash in Easton, Pa.

The rally broke a three-game losing skid for Holy Cross.

UNH 21, William & Mary 12 — Trevor Knight threw for 118 yards with a touchdown toss and ran

for 95 yards with another score as the Wildcats (3-2, 2-0) scratched out a Colonial Athletic Associatio­n win over the Tribe (2-3, 0-2) in Durham, N.H.

URI 28, Brown 13 — Harold Cooper ran for two fourth-quarter touchdowns to help the Rams (1-4) pull away and beat the Bears (1-2) in Kingston, R.I.

Lehigh 63, Yale 35 — Brad Mayes threw for six touchdowns and a program record 524 yards as the Hawks (3-2) routed the Bulldogs (0-3) in New Haven, Conn.

Bentley 28, Pace 0 — Freshman cornerback Peter Thorbahn of Norwell broke a scoreless tie with a 67-yard intercepti­on return for a touchdown as the Falcons (32, 3-1 NE-10) blanked the Setters (0-5, 0-4) in Waltham. It was the third straight time the Falcons have shutout Pace at home.

Kyle Wisnieski of Mansfield also had an intercepti­on for the Falcons. CJ Scarpa of Andover threw for a touchdown and George Craan of Hyde Park rushed for 88 yards with a score.

AIC 30, Saint Anselm 10 — Joseph Czelusniak was 15-of-25 passing for 275 yards with three touchdowns and teammate Devonte Dillion had two of four intercepti­ons by the Yellow Jackets (2-3, 2-2) during this Northeast-10 Conference win over the Hawks (0-5, 0-4) in Manchester, N.H.

Stonehill 31, Merrimack 6 — Mike Cordova carried 20 times for 115 yards with two scores as the Skyhawks (2-3, 2-2 NE-10) beat the Warriors (1-4, 1-3) in Easton.

LIU Post 19, Assumption 18 — Michael Hartgrove’s 2-yard touchdown run with 4:54 to play lifts the Pioneers (5-0, 4-0 NE-10) past the 15th-ranked Greyhounds (4-1, 3-1) in Worcester.

Salve Regina 47, Curry 14 — Sam Pascale gained 225 yards rushing yards on 13 attempts and ran for a pair of touchdowns as the Seahawks (4-0) held off the Colonels

(2-2) in Milton. For Curry, Mike O’Hearn of Billerica passed for 111 yards as he completed 11of-18 passes.

Endicott 21, MIT 9— Joe Kalosky, Michael Scherer and Lavante Wiggins each had a touchdown run for the Gulls (2-3, 2-0) during this NEFC win over the Engineers (1-4, 1-1) at Steinbrenn­er Stadium.

Mass. Maritime 30, Fitchburg State 0 — Bobby Gross recovered a fumble in the end zone and Marshall McCarthy returned an intercepti­on 59 yards for a score as the Buccaneers (3-1) beat the Falcons (2-3) in Fitchburg.

Tufts 12, Bates 7 — Sophomore quarterbac­k Ryan McDonald ran for a 15-yard touchdown at 9:04 of the fourth quarter, lifting the Jumbos (2-0) to a win over the Bobcats (0-2) in Somerville. Chance Brady ran for 140 yards, Willie Holmquist kicked a pair of field goals and Greg Holt made 20 tackles for Tufts.

Trinity 38, Williams 13 — Sonny Puzzo passed for three touchdowns and Max Chipouras rushed for 165 yards with two scores as the Bantaams (2-0) beat the Ephs in a NESCAC clash in Williamsto­wn.

UMass-Dartmouth 35, Framingham State 34 — Michael Slaughter rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns, Stephen Roy ran for 109 yards with a score and Eddie Sheridan added 101 rushing yards to the Corsairs (3-2) impressive ground haul in a win over the Rams (3-2) in Dartmouth.

Bridgewate­r State 20, Western Conn. 14 — Alex McLaughlin rushed for 104 yards with a touchdown on 24 carries and Travis Bassett hauled in eight catches for 77 yards as the Bears (3-2, 3-0 MASCAC) edged the Colonials (1-4, 0-3) in Danbury, Conn.

Mount Ida 15, Norwich 14 — Matt Greenman hauled in a 26-yard TD toss from Jack Sheehan with 55 seconds to play as the Mustangs (1-3, 1-0 ECFC) squeaked by the Cadets (0-4, 0-1) in Northfield, Vt.
