“JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK”

In case you haven't gotten your fill of the “lone samurai” theme with Denzel Washington's “The Equalizer” films or Ben Affleck's accountant or Liam Neeson's Bryan Mills, you can revisit Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher in “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.” Once again the film is based on the character created by pseudonymous English writer Lee Child (born James D. Grant), although this time directed by Edward Zwick. This film sometimes feels like it was created by an algorithm. Cruise, 54, and Cobie Smulders have a fun chemistry, even if he seems a bit old for her.
