Raptors’ run wears out Knicks

DeMar DeRozan had 23 points, Norman Powell added 21 and the Raptors used a dominant third quarter to beat the New York Knicks, 116-101, yesterday in Toronto.

DeRozan also had five rebounds and five assists before coming out late in the third quarter. Toronto outscored New York by a 27-8 margin in the third.

The Raptors improved to 27-13. They led by as many as 38 points in the third quarter in winning their third straight game overall and fifth in a row against the Knicks.

DeMarre Carroll added 20 points, and Jonas Valanciuna­s had 12 points and 16 rebounds.

Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 18 points. New York is 2-10 in their last 12.

Hawks 111, Bucks 98 — Kent Bazemore scored 24 points, Mike Dunleavy added 20 and Atlanta beat visiting Milwaukee, which was led by Giannis Antetokoun­mpo’s 33 points.

Dunleavy, in his second game since arriving in a trade last week with Cleveland, had his first 20-point performanc­e since a first-round playoff game for Chicago on April 30, 2015.

Antetokoun­mpo has scored at least 30 points in eight games in a breakout season.

Rockets 137, Nets 112 — In New York, James Harden had 22 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in his 12th triple-double of the season and Houston easily ended its first losing streak of the season by beating Brooklyn.

Held to 105 points in back-to-back losses, the Rockets had 104 after three quarters and handed the Nets a 10th straight loss. Eric Gordon led the Rockets with 24 points and Trevor Ariza added 23. Houston made 21 3-pointers. Trevor Booker scored 18 points for the Nets. Bulls 108, Grizzlies 104 — Doug McDemott scored a career-high 31 points, Jimmy Butler had a pair of key baskets in the closing minute and visiting Chicago edged out Memphis.

Taj Gibson finished with 18 points and eight rebounds for the Bulls.

Mike Conley led Memphis with 28 points and eight assists, and Marc Gasol had 24 points and 11 rebounds.

Chicago was without Dwyane Wade, who did not play on the second night of a back-to-back.

Pistons 102, Lakers 97 — Tobias Harris scored 23 points and hit a decisive 3-pointer with 30.5 seconds to play, Marcus Morris scored 23 points and Andre Drummond had 15 points and 17 rebounds, helping visiting Detroit snapped a three-game losing streak with a win against Los Angeles.

D’Angelo Russell added 20 points for the Lakers, who have lost 20-of-25.

Thunder 122, Kings 118 — Russell Westbrook had 36 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists for his 20th tripledoub­le of the season, Enes Kanter had 29 points and 12 rebounds, and Oklahoma City downed host Sacramento.

DeMarcus Cousins had 31 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists for the Kings.

Mavericks 98, Timberwolv­es 87 — Wesley Matthews scored 19 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 17, helping host Dallas get by Minnesota.

Gorgui Dieng scored 21 points for the Timberwolv­es.
