Exchange heats the airwaves

-

The following is one of the heated exchanges from yesterday’s “Kirk and Callahan Show” between WEEI’s Gerry Callahan and Kirk Minihane, and their guest Boston Herald Red Sox writer Evan Drellich.

Drellich: “You did a garbage interview (of Red Sox manager John Farrell) yesterday.”

Minihane: “You didn’t like the interview, you didn’t like the interview, fantastic. You transcribed it, you listened to it, got it ...”

Drellich: “You act like you’re tough guys, why don’t you walk into the clubhouse just once? Why not, why don’t you?”

Minihane: “Ugh. Walk into the clubhouse?” Drellich: “Why not, just once.” Minihane: “Because we don’t have to ...” Drellich: “Why are you here? Why are you broadcasting this here?” Callahan: “What would that do?” Minihane: “That’s a legitimate question.” Drellich: “So then answer it.” Minihane: “What would walking in the clubhouse do?”

Drellich: “Maybe give you a sense of how it works.”
