Two men wounded in shooting near Dudley MBTA station

Two men were shot last night near the Dudley MBTA station in Roxbury, police said.

The two were hospitaliz­ed at Boston Medical Center, where they were being treated for non-lifethreat­ening injuries, police said.

The shooting happened near the intersecti­on of Shawmut Avenue and Marvin Street about 8:50 p.m., police said.

A witness told the Herald he was at the Dudley Station when he heard four or five shots and saw what he believed was a victim crouching near a restaurant’s window at the station. The victim got up and ran away from the restaurant, and was later helped by police, the witness said.

Police said there were no arrests and they released no motive for the shooting. Neither victim was identified by police.
