Brooks and New Balance step up for marathon
A pair of running shoe companies are lining up to release their new Bostonthemed sneakers tied to the 121st running of the Boston Marathon on April 17.
New Balance’s limitededition Fresh Foam Zante v3 Boston running shoes go on sale Monday online and April 1 at select retailers.
The Hub-based shoe giant’s sneakers are purple with black accents in a stars and stripes motif on the back half of the sneakers.
The Fresh Foam Zante v3 Boston will retail for $114.95.
Seattle’s Brooks Running Co. is also jumping into the race with its limited-edition Boston Launch 4 sneakers.
The Brooks design features red lobsters and a single blue lobster against a blue background on the uppers, and a seersucker liner printed with a lobster claw on the shoe’s collar and inside heel. “Boston” and “2017” appear on lace aglets. Brooks’ Boston Launch 4 sneakers will sell for $110 online and at select retailers beginning Wednesday.
