Hub gets new ‘Perfect Citizen’

“ER” fans, listen up. Dr. John Carter will be in Boston's South End tomorrow. Well, kind of.

On March 30, Noah Wyle, known for his former role as Dr. Carter, will be shooting the pilot episode for the CBS legal drama “Perfect Citizen.”

“The production company has obtained a permit to occupy several dozen parking spaces, including metered, resident only and visitor spaces, along Tremont Street, Shawmut Avenue and Union Park,” reads a resident memo distributed by James Fox, president of the Union Park Neighborhood Association.

CBS sent out its own memo, which explained it will be using the area after 8 a.m. to prepare for filming, which is expected to take place during the evening hours and wrap up by midnight.

Folks living on Shawmut Avenue and Union Park are asked to keep the lights on inside their homes to help filming once the sun goes down.

So if you find yourself sniffing around the neighborhood that night — either by happenstance or very much on purpose — you might catch a glimpse of Wyle.

In “Perfect Citizen,” he plays the lead, an ex-general counsel for the NSA who goes by the name of Deck. Having been entangled in a whistleblower scandal, Deck searches for a fresh start at a Boston law firm. But as he tries to move on, he finds the country is still ambivalent toward him for that whole traitor-meetsnational hero thing.

The premise is Snowden-esque. Minus the Russian asylum part.

Craig Turk is the writer and executive producer behind the “Perfect Citizen” pilot. You might know Turk as the producer of another scandal-filled CBS series, “The Good Wife.”

And a side note: Watch out for Boston police. They'll be controlling traffic, so the production crew can film scenes like the one in which “HERO CAR DRIVES IN OPPOSITE DIRECTION OF ONE WAY TRAFFIC ON SHAWMUT BET WALTHAM ST AND UNION PARK,” as the memo cites.

Not sure if Wyle's medical acting background would help with any injuries sustained.
