GRACE CONNOLLY

NATICK The state's best distance runner captured both the mile and 2-mile at the Division 2 and All-State championsh­ips. The sophomore garnered All-America status with a sterling sixth-place finish at the New Balance Indoor Nationals after a personal best of 4:52.38. A Bay State Conference All-Star and honor student, Connolly is also the defending Div. 1 All-State cross-country champion.

ZOE DAINTON

HINGHAM The junior set a personal best of 5-8 in the high jump to capture the Division 3 state meet and that was just the start. Dainton went on to win the All-State and New England titles in the event. The winner of the Patriot League meet, she copped league MVP honors. Dainton is a member of the volleyball team and also high jumps in the spring. An honor student, she will like to continue her track & field career in college.

JULIA JORDAHL-HENRY

WELLESLEY The Division 2 champion and All-State runner-up in the high jump, Jordahl-Henry cleared 5-7 this winter and was the Outstandin­g Field Event Performer at the Auerbach Freshman-Sophomore meet. The sophomore was the Bay State Conference champion and holds Wellesley's outdoor school record at 5-73⁄ 4. A two-time Herald All-Scholastic, she also plays volleyball at Wellesley.

JOANNA KENNEDY

WELLESLEY The talented junior claimed the Division 2 state title in the long jump before going on to take second in the All-State meet with a personal-best leap of 18-1. A Bay State Conference All-Star, she has also clocked a 59.01 in the 400, where she is the reigning league champion. A member of the National Honor Society and Chinese National Honor Society, Kennedy also plays varsity soccer.

AVERY LEYDON

WOBURN The junior ran away with the Division 2 title in the 600 in a meet-record 1:34.00 before capturing the All-State gold medal in 1:34.35. Leydon was the Middlesex League champion in the 300 and named the league MVP. A key force behind Woburn's undefeated Middlesex League season, the honor student runs cross country in the fall and track in the spring.

BRIDGET MITCHELL

MILTON The All-State champion in the 1,000, the two-time Herald All-Scholastic clocked a 2:54.31 to edge teammate Colette O'Leary for the win. The junior has clocked a 4:56 mile and was the Bay State Conference MVP. Mitchell was ninth in the Scholastic Mile at the New Balance Grand Prix and achieved All-America status at Nationals as part of Milton's 4xMile and distance medley relays.

COLETTE O’LEARY

MILTON Second to teammate Bridget Mitchell in the 1,000 at the All-State meet despite running 2:55.81, the senior was victorious in the event at the Division 4 state meet. She was a big part of Milton's All-American squads in the 4xMile and distance medley at Nationals. A member of the cross country and outdoor track teams, O'Leary will compete for UMass in the fall.

LAUREN POLIMENO

TEWKSBURY The senior captured the state title in the pentathlon. An all-Merrimack Valley Conference performer, Polimeno was the league champion in both the 600 and high jump. She was also a big part of Tewksbury's 4x400 relay team that won titles at both the Division 4 state meet and at All-States. Polimeno is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to continue her track & field career in college.

MIKAYLAH SCHWARTZ

DRACUT The senior was solid all season long in the shot-put circle and tossed a 39-91⁄2 to garner second at the All-State championsh­ips. Schwartz was the Division 3 state champion and part of Dracut's winning Div. 3 shot-put relay squad. A two-time Merrimack Valley Conference champions, she plans to attend Assumption College and compete on the track team.

AVA VASILE

MEDWAY An all-around force on the track and infield, Vasile captured the All-State title in the 55 hurdles in 8.44 and was second in the 300, running 40.30. The sophomore was the Division 4 champion in both events, and was second in the state pentathlon with 3,204 points. She had a huge day at New Englands, grabbing second in the 300 in 39.84, the 12th-fastest ever in Massachuse­tts. Vasile also plays varsity lacrosse at Medway.

BROOKE-LYNN WILLIAMS

NORTON The best indoor sprinter in New England history, Williams ran the gamut with wins in the 55 at the Division 4 state meet, All-States and New Englands. Willams was the Tri-Valley League champion and league MVP. A three-time Herald All-Scholastic, the senior is a two-time champion and record-holder at both the All-States and New Englands. She will continue her running career at Penn State University.
