Pay price for ‘sanctuary’
We need to ban “sanctuary cities” in Massachusetts (“Sheriff backs AG on sanctuary city crackdown,” April 22). Moreover, our elected representatives should go a step further and require local governments to certify that they cooperate with federal immigration officials in order to obtain state funding.
Elected officials who allow their communities to become socalled “sanctuary cities” should be arrested. These elected officials are supposed to be working for us, the citizens who voted them into office, not for people who unlawfully entered this country. Politicians should respect our laws; this will help us to continue to make America stronger and greater than it has ever been before.
