Time to act on climate

-

It is irresponsible to continue supporting the fossil fuel industry politically (“Undoing useless climate rules will boost economy,” April 4). Though President Trump and his administration seem eager to dismiss climate change as a farce, the facts do not lie. Boston could be experiencing 90 degree weather all summer long by 2070 if we do not change our course of action.

In addition, a new study shows that if high levels of greenhouse gases continue to be released worldwide, the seas around Boston could rise as much as 10.5 feet by 2100.

That’s why must do what we can to prevent the worst effects of climate change as a state if our federal government will not.
