FILLING THE PATS’ NEEDS
No. 3 OFFENSIVE TACKLE
The Patriots are typically proactive when it comes to their left tackles and making sure Tom Brady is secure with his blind-side protector. They drafted Nate Solder a year before Matt Light’s contract was up and worked him in at right tackle before swinging him over to the left. Solder is 29 and has another year left on his deal. It’s possible he’ll play on, but the Pats would be wise to draft an insurance policy. (Third in a series, counting down to the Pats’ No. 1 need.)
