Just great, if you’re Newton’s own Matt LeBlanc and you’re being judged by fans of the British all-thingsdriving show “Top Gear.” Audiences blasted previous host Chris Evans (not the Captain America one) who teamed up with LeBlanc last season, and wondered if the show was out of gas. Then the “Friends” star took the lead position, with Chris Harris and Rory Reid as co-hosts, and it worked. “Thank you for saving #topgear Mr @Matt_LeBlanc. This series never got stuck in 2nd gear,” tweeted one viewer. “Thank you very much for salvaging #TopGear @Matt_LeBlanc It’s better than ever and it feels like you have always been there,” posted another. BBC2 said the show, which is available on BBC America, will be back next year.
