Owners and managers of Nick’s Comedy Stop and Venu nightclub in Boston’s Theatre District must appear before the city’s Licensing Board after the latest in a yearslong string of alleged liquor license violations that most recently included a minor in possession of alcohol last month.

The Licensing Board will hold a hearing Tuesday for Paga Inc., holder of the license to sell food and all alcoholic beverages for the two businesses, which operate from the same Warrenton Street venue.

Documents provided by the board show several alleged violations at the venue dating to 2012. They include single patrons consuming bottles of champagne without meals, employee-on-patron assault and batteries, failing to call police after indecent patron-on-patron assault and batteries, additional incidents of minors possessing alcohol, service of alcohol to intoxicated patrons, failure to comply with bottle service restrictions, smoking inside the venue and overcrowding.

The venue has been hit with numerous multiple-day suspensions as a result, according to the six-page docket.

“Public safety is of the utmost importance to the board,” Chairwoman Christine A. Pulgini said in a statement. “Given the licensee’s recent violations, the nature and severity of said violations, the necessity of police response to the premises and the numerous complaints received by the board from residents living near the licensee, the board is holding a hearing to determine what actions, if any, are necessary to protect the public safety and the quality of life for the neighborhood.”
