An argument over a sandwich at a Dunkin’ Donuts in Brockton took a violent turn yesterday when police say two customers attacked the store’s manager before one of them fired a BB gun through the drive-thru window.

Investigators were looking for two women last night who Dunkin’ Donuts employees said were last seen leaving the area in a black Infiniti sedan that could have been a G35 or G37 model with a license plate ending in 357, according to police.

Lt. Mark Porcaro of the Brockton police said officers responded to a reported past assault at the Westgate Drive doughnut shop about 1 p.m.

Porcaro said witnesses told officers the two women were upset about their order and began yelling at the store’s manager, who is also a woman.

“It was some sort of an argument over a sandwich,” Porcaro said. “One thing leads to another and the driver of the black Infiniti, she gets out of the car and punches the manager in the face.”

At one point, Porcaro said the passenger of the car also got out of the vehicle and started beating the manager through the drive-thru window.

“As that car is driving away, the second female, not the driver, shoots a silver BB gun through the drive-thru window,” Porcaro said.

The manager was not hospitalized, he said. Anyone with information about the incident or who may know the owner of a car matching the description above is urged to contact Brockton cops at 508941-0200.
