Suicide means to ‘kill’

-

For Aaron Hernandez to learn in prison about the Bible and that God forgives is wonderful (“ExPat’s suicide seen as ‘religious message’,” May 5). But one of the Ten Commandments is, “Thou shalt not kill.”

Aaron Hernandez can be “religiously” forgiven for the murder he was found guilty of, and for other crimes he may have committed (including other murders), if after entering prison he then committed himself to God.

However, committing suicide is contrary to following God.

If Hernandez killed himself to protect his assets, or so his fiancee could inherit money, that has nothing to do with following God. After all, suicide is, in fact, killing. — Belinda Dowdle, Dracut
