Laura L. Coad, at 47, resident of Brockton

Laura L. Coad of Brockton died Sunday from cancer. She was 47.

She was born and raised in Brockton.

She was a graduate of Southeastern Tech and Lincoln Tech, where she received her associate’s degree.

Ms. Coad was a hairdresser and nail tech at Hair Flair in Brockton after attending Labaron Academy in Brockton.

She was also a massage therapist for Elements of Canton and worked at Chadwicks Clothing.

Ms. Coad enjoyed crafting and loved collecting Hippos.

She is survived by two daughters, Amanda and Emily Macuch of Brockton; her mother, Patricia (Allegra) Allen of Brockton; two sisters, Tina Allen of Hanover and Stephanie Coad-Dineen of Florida; several nieces and nephews and companion, Robert Ramsey of Brockton.

A service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Whitman.
