Paul A. Letourneau, 73, formerly of Salem, vet

Paul A. Letourneau of Caledonia, Mich., formerly of Salem, died Feb. 22 after a brief illness. He was 73.

Mr. Letourneau was born and raised in Salem. He lived in Chicago then Michigan, where he opened his own business and stayed for the remainder of his life.

He was a graduate of Salem High School class of 1962 with a certificat­e of superior proficienc­y in clerical works.

After graduation he joined the Navy and served stateside. He completed a tour in Chicago.

Mr. Letourneau owned and operated Service by Air in Grand Rapids, Mich., until his retirement in 2009.

He is survived by a sister, Patricia Lavoie of Beverly and Gloucester; two brothers, Martin of New Hampshire and Denis of Salem; two nieces, several grandniece­s and grandnephe­ws; and friends, Terri Hanson of Caledonia, Mich., and Bill Lanigan of Gloucester.

A funeral service will be held at noon tomorrow at Levesque Funeral Home, Salem.

Burial will be private.
