Q: Most Americans are horrified by this image she has of a decapitated president.

A: It’s terrible ... It’s just poor taste. But we’ve come to almost expect this from the left in the treatment of our president, in the treatment of anyone who takes a conservative approach to key policy areas.

Now, it was just disgusting looking, just inappropriate in my judgment. And I think that’s probably the reaction of the vast majority of Americans.

She can do these kinds of things, but I think the vast majority of the American people say that’s ridiculous and it’s the wrong kind of thing to do.

But we’ll move on and we’ll keep pushing the policies that we think are going to make our country strong and keep it strong.

Q: Do you think Twitter and other social media sites should remove her and these images from their networks? Because they have anti-hate speech, antiviolence policies and clearly she’s in violation.

A: You know how it works. That will only apply to the conservatives. You know how this game is played. Come on. That’s not going to happen.

Q: What do you expect or what would you like to see come out of the Senate on health care?

A: Well, I’d like to see something better than the bill we sent over there. What we sent was a good first step.

Let’s be clear, it wasn’t a full repeal of Obamacare. It’s why we conservatives initially opposed the original draft and we know through the course of the debate in the House we made it better. It was an intense debate, it was an invigorating debate and we made it better, but it’s still not completely there.

Q: What do you make of Sen. Bernie Sanders? You know, he has trashed the health care plan. He says it’s going to gut Medicaid, it’s just going to give tax breaks to the wealthiest Americans. Is there any validity in his statements or is he just pandering to his base?

A: Well, I wish some of these folks would remember where we’re at right now, remember what Obamacare’s done to health care costs ... Premiums, if you can afford the premiums you can’t afford the deductible.

So people thought they may have insurance they don’t really have coverage, they don’t really have something that benefits their families.

So that’s where we’re starting, and yet all the left wants to say is, “Oh, what you guys are doing is terrible.”
