Taryn Cahill went 3-for4 with a three- run double, while Jess Smith also had three hits as No. 17 Pembroke (11-10) edged No. 16 Dedham, 5-4, in a Div. 2 South preliminar­y contest. … Freshman Maddie Higgins tossed a five-hitter as No. 13 Ursuline (13-8) blanked No. 20 Foxboro, 2-0. Mackenzie Cardillo was 3-for-3 with two RBI to pace No. 3 Monomoy (18-2) to a 10-0 win over No. 14 Upper Cape in a Div. 3 South firstround­er.

Grace Dearaney threw her third no-hitter of the season as No. 16 Mt. Alvernia (11-7) beat No. 17 Fenway (8-7), 19-0 in five innings, in a Div. 3 North first-round contest.

Girls lacrosse

Elle Hansen had five goals and four assists and Molly Greer added four goals and two assists as No. 1 Cohasset (16-2) cruised to a 16-4 win over No. 16 Nantucket in a Div. 2 South first-rounder.

Ellie and Annie Richard combined for 14 goals as No. 4 Austin Prep (18-4) beat No. 5 Manchester-Essex, 149, in a Div. 2 North quarterfin­al matchup.

Boys tennis

No. 1 singles player Douglas Danz won 6-0, 6-0 as No. 4 Martha’s Vineyard (132) rolled to a 5-0 win over No. 13 Bishop Connolly in a Div. 3 South first-round clash.

Girls tennis

Ella Provost, Mae Viccica and Grace Condon all won their matches in straight sets as No. 9 Hamilton-Wenham (12-5) defeated No. 8 Danvers, 3-2, in a Div. 2 North first-round contest.
