Who’s to blame now, lefties?

Is it finally time for the vast left-wing conspiracy to tone down its endless torrent of unhinged hate speech and vitriol directed at Republicans and Donald Trump?

This means you, Kathy Griffin, Madonna, Shakespeare in the Park, Reza Aslan, Snoop Dogg and all those wonderful academics and snowflakes at Berkeley, Middlebury, Evergreen State, etc. etc. etc.

Yesterday it was a demented Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer shooting at Republican congressmen. Last week, a Bernie Sanders supporter was arrested by the FBI in Georgia and charged with illegal leaks of top-secret classified information to an obscure left-wing website. On social media, this Bernie Sis fantasized about burning down the White House.

Last month, a Tennessee moonbat tried to run a GOP congressman off the road. A Virginia Republican got a threatening message: “This is how we’re going to kill your wife.” A 71-year-old woman who works for a California Republican was knocked out by a crazed sore loser.

What was that plea for tolerance that Bernie Sanders tweeted out last year?

“Trump should tone down his rhetoric and condemn the violence of some of his supporters.”

Is this all Bernie’s doing, the poisoned fruit of his hateful rage, as evidenced most recently just last week in his bigoted out-of-control rant against a Christian Trump appointee at a Senate hearing?

Well, by Bernie’s own standards, he is to blame. In 2011, after the shooting of then-Rep. Gabby Giffords (D-Ariz.) by an apolitical lunatic, Sanders blamed the violence on “right-wing reactionaries” and Arizona U.S. Sen. John McCain.

“In light of all this violence,” Bernie smugly wrote, “have right-wing reactionaries, through threats and acts of violence, intimidated people with different points of view from expressing their political positions?”

Sen. Sanders, in the wake of this bloody crime wave by your followers, which statesman, as you might put it, “now needs to stand up and denounce the increasingly violent rhetoric.”

This latest Bernie Bro to go postal, James Hodgkinson, was a card-carrying moonbat. He tweeted out about “racist and sexist Republicans.” I’ll bet he had a COEXIST bumper sticker on his car too.

And of course, as is almost always the case in these matters, he took his cues from Massachusetts leftists. He wrote a 2012 letter to his hometown newspaper: “One of my favorite TV shows is ‘The Rachel Maddow Show’ on MSNBC.” She began her media career in, where else, Northampton.

On Christmas Day, the Bernie bro tweeted out that he just signed a petition supporting U.S. Rep. Katherine Clark’s Presidential Accountability Act. Clark, of course, is the Colorado native who now holds Ed Markey’s seat in Congress.

Maybe it’s finally time for, to paraphrase Democrats, common-sense Bernie Bros. control. Perhaps Sanders should turn over his email list to Homeland Security for a proper risk assessment. Can we get a FISA warrant here?

Last year, the Bernie Bros’ slogan was, “Feel the Bern.” Now it seems to be, “Feel the Lead.”
