The Boston Globe has been printing the Boston Herald reliably at its Morrissey Boulevard location for many years and recently moved the production to its new modernized plant in Taunton. As with any new mechanical process, the Globe has had significant issues the last couple of nights. We know — because we once ran our own printing presses — that the Globe is doing everything it can to address the issues as quickly as possible. Nonetheless, the issues are impacting many of the Herald’s home delivery customers and is also resulting in late or no delivery to some stores that sell our paper. This is very concerning to us because we work hard to publish a newspaper that is relevant to you, our readers, every day. We appreciate your interest in the Herald and in our content, we apologize for this inconvenience and we ask for your patience during this transitional period. Thank you.
