Peter F. Fanara, at 92, of Woburn, machinist

Peter F. Fanara of Woburn, formerly of Somerville, died Tuesday at Sawtelle Family Hospice House in Reading. He was 92.

Mr. Fanara was born in Aragona, Italy.

He was a graduate of Brighton High School.

He was employed as an industrial machinist for many years.

Mr. Fanara enjoyed playing golf, bowling, solving crossword puzzles, telling jokes, playing cards and, most of all, gardening.

His family was his greatest joy and he loved spending time with them.

Husband of the late Cherie (Reaves) for 41 years, Mr. Fanara is survived by a daughter, Carol Ann Mahoney of Woburn; a sister, Rose Anzaldi of Watertown; four grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held yesterday at McLaughlin Dello Russo Funeral Home, Woburn.

Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
