B’s sign goalies Subban, McIntyre

The Bruins signed goaltender­s Zane McIntyre and Malcolm Subban each to a two-year, two-way contract worth $650,000 at the NHL level.

McIntyre, 24, appeared in 31 games for Providence last season, compiling a 21-6-1 record with a 2.03 goalsagain­st average and .930 save percentage. The 6-foot-2, 206-pound netminder was selected to play in the 2017 AHL All-Star Game.

McIntyre also played eight games with the Bruins, posting a 0-4-1 record with a 3.97 GA and .858 SP.

Subban, 23, had an 11-14-1 record for Providence with a 2.41 goals-against and a .917 save percentage. The 2012 first-round draft pick also appeared in one game for the Bruins. . . .

The Tampa Bay Lightning resigned left winger Ondrej Palat to a $26.5 million, five-year deal. The 26-year-old had 17 goals and 35 assists in 75 games last season. . . .

The Los Angeles Kings re-signed Kevin Gravel to a one-year, $650,000 contract extension.

NFL: Floyd suspended

The NFL suspended Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Michael Floyd without pay for the first four games of the regular season for violating its substance-abuse policy.

The Vikings’ announceme­nt gave no details of the violation. But an Arizona judge last month ordered Floyd to serve one day in jail for failing alcohol tests after a traffic stop last year. The ex-Patriot blamed the results on a fermented tea called kombucha.

Golf: McIlroy misses cut

Rory McIlroy’s preparatio­ns for next week’s British Open took another hit when the world No. 4 failed to make the weekend at the Scottish Open in Irvine, his third missed cut in his last four events. McIlroy was 10 strokes off the lead held by Padraig Harrington (68), Callum Shinkwin (68) and Alexander Knappe (65). . . .

Bernhard Langer made five birdies on the back nine to take a 2-shot lead over Corey Pavin before rain suspended play at the Constellat­ion Senior Players Championsh­ip in Owings Mills, Md. . . .

Patrick Rodgers shot a 7-under 64 to take a 2-shot lead after the second round of the PGA John Deere Classic in Silvis, Ill. . . .

Shanshan Feng of China has a 2-shot lead after the first round of the weather-delayed U.S. Women’s Open in Bedminster, N.J. . . .

Hootie Johnson, who as chairman of Augusta National stood his ground on inviting female members, has died at 86. Johnson stepped down as club chairman in 2006. Augusta invited its first female members in 2012.

NBA: Knicks name prez, GM

The New York Knicks promoted Steve Mills from general manager to president and hired Scott Perry as GM. Mills takes over the position left vacant by Phil Jackson’s departure last month. ...

The Indiana Pacers acquired guard Cory Joseph from the Toronto Raptors for the draft rights of forward Emir Preldzic. ...

The Orlando Magic reached an agreement in principle with unrestrict­ed free agent Jonathon Simmons on a three-year contract. . . .
