Curtatone on the spot

Somerville Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone wants to have an honest conversation on immigration, and says he always works with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement dealing with violent criminals (“ICE vow gets chilly response,” July 24). The public will hold him to that, since we are counting on him and other public officials to make sure that violent criminals who are illegal immigrants are dealt with to the full extent of the law. — Thomas E.
