JUST FOR LAUGHS – AND CHARITY

The annual Comics Come Home is coming into its 23rd year, and it’s announced a star-studded lineup that promises to prompt plenty of laughs, come Nov. 18.

Founded by Bruins President Cam Neely and Worcester-born comedian Denis Leary, the charitable giggle-fest will go down at TD Garden this fall, benefiting The Cam Neely Foundation for Cancer Care. In addition to Leary serving as the host, the night will bring out comics Lenny Clarke, Jimmy Fallon, Craig Ferguson, Jim Gaffigan, Jared Freid, Lil Rel Howery, Robert Kelly and Jeff Ross.

“Having such comedy giants as Jimmy Fallon and Jim Gaffigan return to our stage is a tribute to how great the Boston audience is, and Craig Ferguson making his first Comics Come Home appearance will be an unforgettable blast,” Leary said in a statement.

“Not to mention Lil Rel — whose breakout performance in the hit movie ‘Get Out’ has made him into a huge comedy star. And of course we can’t do this show without Lenny Clarke and Bobby Kelly — two legendary Boston-born comics who have been such devoted supporters of this cause for so long.”

Proceeds from Comics Come Home will go toward the foundation’s $1.5 million pledge to build The Marlene Neely Gastroenterology Center at Tufts Medical Center — the eighth space created by The Cam Neely Foundation.

Ticket presales for Comics Come Home, which is presented by the nonprofit DCU for Kids and entertainment company Apostle, are kicking off today at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster with the code “Neely8.”

Because we’re still months away from the big day, more comedians may be added to the mix. Specific details surrounding the event may also change, so tune into Neely’s Twitter, @CamNeelyFdn, for updates.
