I DO FOOD: About 200 people gathered at the Gardens at Elm Bank in Wellesley this weekend for the marriage of Scampo's executive sous chef Alex Pineda and local model/health guru Nikki Stalling. Pineda is the son of celebrated Boston chef Lydia Shire and The Tip Tap Room's expert butcher Uriel Pineda, so of course, the fete featured a five-course menu cooked by the groom and his mother, with the help of Gourmet Caterers. The spread included an Italian Ostera caviar bar, a Wagyu beef entree that was flown in from Japan just for the nuptials and a five-tier cake adorned with fresh flowers created by Lydia. Among the celebrants there to toast the newlyweds: star chefs Jody Adams, Barbara Lynch, Jasper White, Brian Poe, Gordon Hamersley and Simon Restrepo; MS Walker's Harvey Allen; Scampo coowner Patrick Lyons of the Lyons Group, his wife, Kristina, and their son, Wyatt; Wilcox Hospitality Group's Gordon Wilcox; former Patriots linebacker Andre Tippett and his wife, Rhonda; and Boston Common publisher Glen Kelley.
COAST TO COAST: In case you're avidly following the chronicles of Cambridge-bred actor/director Ben Affleck and “SNL” producer Lindsay Shookus' oh-so public relationship like we are: The couple has once again been spotted out on the town — this time on Affleck's coast, in Santa Monica, Calif. They took a leisurely stroll Saturday afternoon, after breakfasting together at Snug Harbor. As you may recall, last weekend the duo were seen roaming around Shookus' turf in New York City, having dinner at Mas Farmhouse in Greenwich Village and shopping at Barneys New York — where Shookus reportedly tried on bracelets. We hope Ben took notes.
