FOXX & CO. JETSET TO HUB BASH

-

An epic party went down at the W Boston this weekend — and Oscar/Grammy-winner Jamie Foxx was at the center of it.

W Boston and the W Hotels of New York City have teamed up with the private plane company JetLux to offer guests a new JetSet Package, throwing a once-ina-lifetime bash to commemorate its launch.

The bash began in New York City, with bottles of Dom Perignon popping at the W Times Square. After some boozy brunching, Foxx and the rest of the partiers boarded a JetLux private flight. In case they wanted a little inflight R&R before heading into Round 2 of raving it up, everyone was given a set of the new Beats by Dre noise-cancelling headphones — a far cry from the rinky-dink earbuds most travelers are handed when flying economy.

When arriving at the W Boston, the flock of fete-goers were greeted with flight attendants and a pilot in the hotel’s Extreme WOW suite. The spread included more Dom-laden libations, like a “mile high” cocktail, and duck and truffle popcorn.

Now, what’s a party without an impromptu performance? Foxx surprised everyone when, partway through the bash, he decided to sing his greatest hits. And people went nuts: Guests were dancing on the bed and tables of the hotel suite.

Foxx ended his miniature-show with a shout-out to W Boston and incited party-wide chanting for JetLux Founder Tom Osovitzki.

If you’re game for your own JetSet experience, you’re in luck: As of tomorrow, you can book the Extreme WOW suite at the W Boston or any W Hotel in New York City through the hotel’s website, and gain inside access to the package that includes a round-trip private jet and black car service.

Conditions apply, and Jamie Foxx not included.
