SOMETHING WICKED... AWESOME: Michael Cristofer, whom you may know as Phillip Price on the acclaimed USA series “Mr. Robot,” paid a visit to the Showcase SuperLux in Chestnut Hill. The actor, screenwriter and filmmaker was at the cinema to host a special 30th anniversary screening of “The Witches of Eastwick,” the screenplay for which he wrote.

Cristofer sat down with WGBH executive arts editor Jared Bowen to dish about what went on behind the scenes while shooting the flick, which was based on the novel by John Updike, with stars Cher, Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jack Nicholson. The classic film — shot in quaint Massachusetts towns like Cohasset, Marblehead and Ipswich — will make a brief return to the big screen, playing in select Showcase theaters on Oct. 26.

TV DINNERS: Mark your calendar and grab your remote because two Boston restaurants are slated for TV shoutouts this week. We're told that Lydia Shire's Italian eatery Scampo will be featured on Travel Channel's “Food Paradise” on Sunday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. It will be highlighted along with a slew of haunted restaurants across the country on the show's “Scary Good” episode. And tomorrow, be sure to tune into the Food Network's “Beat Bobby Flay” at 10 p.m. Meghann Ward, who's the chef at Fenway joint Tapestry, will be competing against the gingery Iron Chef in an episode titled, “Boil and Trouble.”
