Boston’s New Balance and its Warrior Hockey brand have added Boston Bruins left wing Brad Marchand to their list of athlete endorsers.

Marchand has signed to a multi-year contract under which Michiganbased Warrior will be the Halifax, Nova Scotia, native’s official on-ice equipment provider, and New Balance will supply his off-ice footwear and clothing. Terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

“I signed with Warrior and New Balance because of the great experience I have had with their sticks and gear, and because they understand what is important to me both on and off the ice,” Marchand said in a statement.

Marchand’s on-ice Warrior equipment includes the Warrior Alpha QX hockey stick, his helmet, been gloves and pants.

“Brad Marchand represents the energy and competitive nature of the Warrior brand as a young player with incredible ability who displays an intense passion for the game of hockey,” Warrior Sports President Dave Morrow said. “We are thrilled to welcome him to our team as a global ambassador.”

In addition to Marchand, Warrior Hockey also sponsors Boston Bruins Kevan Miller, Austin Czarnik, David Backes, Tim Schaller, Noel Acciari, Zdeno Chara, Torey Krug, Tuukka Rask and Frank Vatrano.

New Balance’s and Warrior’s ties to the Bruins also include the team’s new Warrior Ice Arena training and practice facility that opened at New Balance’s mixed-use Boston Landing development in Brighton in September 2016.
